Photography

Sandy McMurray Novak lives in Seattle.  She has been passionate about photography since
the age of five when she was given her grandfather’s Kodak Petite.  She has won several
photography contests, been published in the Seattle Times, and her work has been used to
promote local tourism. Her photographs have been shown at the Avanti Art Show, Bailey-
Boushay House, the Madison Park Art Walk, the University House  and at Carlsbad by the
Sea.  Now retired, Sandy enjoyed a rewarding career as a health care administrator.  She
has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South America. In
addition to travel and photography, she volunteers with Youth in Focus, an organization that
teaches urban youth photography skills to help them experience their world in new ways and
make positive changes in their lives. Sandy also enjoys volunteering with her college sorority
and serves as an advisor. Several of her books
have been published, including Doors to the
World
, Windows to the World and Doors to the World II.
